King's Way Church Pastoral Team

Jason & Tina Hooper - Senior Leaders & Pastors

Jason & Tina HooperJason and Tina have dedicated their life to seeing the call and character of Christ fully formed in individuals, couples, families, cities, states and the nations of the earth. Their unquenchable love for God and insatiable love for the lost are the heart motivations behind so much of the day-to-day life of King’s Way Church and their community involvement.

While Jason and Tina share in a rich history of personal and corporate Revival that has carried them all around the world, when they arrived in Birmingham, AL in 2012 they found a God-given Home they never knew they had. After saying, “Yes” to the leading of the Lord a journey began that resulted in the birthing of King’s Way Church, a spirit-filled community of worshipers desiring “More of God” while producing sustainable and lasting Revival that builds strong Families while cultivating Christian Community as the Nature of Christ is more fully formed in each and every person who calls King’s Way “Home.”

Jason and Tina serve as the Senior Leaders & Pastors of King’s Way Church in Birmingham, AL with a passion to see God’s Kingdom released through Radical Exploits of God’s Love, Outrageous Freedom in Worship and Mighty Demonstrations of God’s Power to Heal, Deliver, Save and Transform. They pursue this passion through Sound Teaching, Prophetic Revelation and the Discipling of Families while serving their City and Community as they fan the flames of Revival and Awakening in and through families training and equipping the Body of Christ to walk in the fullness of their gifts and callings as Christ is more fully formed in them.

Jeff & Suzanne Whatley - Executive & Worship Pastors

Jeff & Suzanne WhatleyJeff and Suzanne have spent the past 20 years on a pursuit of discovering and declaring the heart of God through intimate worship.  Their desire is for all people to experience His passionate love, and to see a city transformed as they become like the One they behold.  Since the release of their albums, “Dawn of Zion’s Glory” and “Paradise”, the Whatley's continue to receive testimonies, from all over the world, of what God is doing through their music.

After serving numerous ministries in the Nashville area, the Whatley's moved to Birmingham in 2013 to join the work being done through King’s Way Church.  They consider it their personal mission to help this city discover it’s sound and it’s song, and to raise up a generation of worshippers who will serve all people from the posture of sitting at His feet.   They currently serve on full-time staff as Executive and Worship Pastors to their King’s Way family.

Jeff & Suzanne have been married for 17 years and live in Trussville, AL with their 3 girls: Ava, Allie & Anna Mills.

Jody & Sunny Trautwein - Administrative Pastors

Jody & Sunny TrautweinJody and Sunny have accepted God’s call on their lives to do everything they can to help bring forth and facilitate another Great Awakening in our day and a Reformation in our lifetime. They believe Awakening is best defined as a “massive wholesale awareness to Who God is resulting from a deep conviction of our need for Him.” Reformation is the “removal of corruption from existing systems to restore God’s original purified order.”

Therefore, their awakened desire, in the Spirit of the Father’s heart, is to impart identity and destiny to this and subsequent generations, giving them every resource available to train them to inherit all of their God-given promises. They endeavor to function in apostolic administration recognizing, developing and connecting apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers to equip the saints to fulfill the Great Commission while bringing kingdom strategy and influence to families, churches, schools, government, businesses, media and entertainment.

They earnestly seek to model and impart an Acts 1:8 mindset for the scope of the fulfillment of their hearts: “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” In other words, it starts in your home church and hometown and expands from there.

Their hometown is Helena, Alabama, where they live with their two sons, Joshua and Justus. They have been married for seven years and serve King’s Way Church as the Administrative Pastors.
